Convert a Sole Proprietor to a Private Company

If you are registered as a sole proprietor at the Compensation Fund and now wish to register a private company instead, you need to convert your profile to a private company. You should not register twice. You will keep the same Compensation Fund registration number.

What We Require from You:

• A letter on the company letterhead requesting the change from sole proprietor to a private company. The letter must be signed by a director.
• Recently certified ID/Passport documents for all the directors
• Recently certified ID/Passport document for the sole proprietor
• Compensation Fund registration number / Letter of Good Standing
• SARS Tax Clearance Certificate
• CIPC Disclosure Certificate
